Squillace created a luxurious beachfront headquarters for Northern Beaches real estate agency Clarke & Humel. Situated on the doorstep of Manly beach, the space was designed to showcase surrounding coastal views with executive offices opening to an expansive balcony as an extension of the interior. Our clients wanted the space to feel elevated, relaxed, and warm; to emulate the feeling of a residential space rather than a typical commercial office. We achieved this through materiality, form, layout, and lighting. The design direction took inspiration from the sites surrounding rolling waves, informing sweeping curves and organic forms throughout. Materials are textural and tonal featuring bamboo wall cladding, plastered walls, Victorian ash framed glazing, and linen drapery. The colour pallet is a mix of subdued tones and playful pops of colour including blush, terracotta, powder blue, and sandy beige.
